Getting it right

Every fireplace gate needs at least 70 cm of clearance from the fire source. We plan the gate's position around it from the start.

A fire is only safe to enjoy if little ones can't get close. These are the rules we follow on every fireplace gate:

Take it down when the weather warms up

A release mechanism lets the gate come fully off its wall mounts without damage, whenever you don't need it.

Go taller for climbers

If your toddler has started climbing, our 104 cm gate is much harder to get over than the 71 cm height.

Use a manual latch, not self-closing

Self-closing springs need frequent tuning and wear with daily use. Manual operation is the only failsafe way to know the gate is latched.
